Το Associate in Arts in Creative Arts έχει σχεδιαστεί για μαθητές που αναζητούν ένα ευρύ υπόβαθρο στις εικαστικές και παραστατικές τέχνες, όπως το σχέδιο, η ζωγραφική, το τραγούδι, η οργανική παράσταση, η δημιουργική γραφή, ο χορός και η προφορική ερμηνεία.
- Students will create and critique works of art in a supportive environment using traditional and new art media according to established principles of art and design. Students can communicate orally and in writing about art and design-related topics.
- Οι μαθητές θα χρησιμοποιήσουν την κριτική σκέψη για να αναλύσουν, να συγκρίνουν και να αντιπαραβάλουν παγκόσμιους πολιτισμούς και συστήματα πεποιθήσεων μέσω μιας μελέτης ανθρωπολογίας, φιλοσοφίας, ιστορίας, γλωσσών ή/και ανθρωπιστικών επιστημών.
- Οι μαθητές θα αναπτύξουν δεξιότητες κριτικής σκέψης καθώς αναλύουν, συγκρίνουν και αντιπαραβάλλουν και παρακολουθούν την ανάπτυξη μορφών τέχνης από διάφορα μέρη του κόσμου, από την αρχαιότητα έως τη σύγχρονη εποχή.
Για να αποκτήσουν αυτό το πτυχίο, οι φοιτητές πρέπει να πληρούν τις ακόλουθες προϋποθέσεις:
- Ολοκλήρωση κατάλληλων μονάδων 60 μοιρών με συνολικό ΣΔΣ 2,0.
- Συμπλήρωση τουλάχιστον 18 εξαμηνιαίων ενοτήτων στην κύρια με βαθμό C (ή P) ή καλύτερο.
- Ολοκλήρωση των Απαιτήσεων Αποφοίτησης AA/AS, CSU GE-B ή IGETC.
Το πρόγραμμα απαιτεί την ολοκλήρωση 18 ενοτήτων στους εξής δύο τομείς:
I. Εφαρμοσμένες Τέχνες (σύνολο 6 ενοτήτων από έναν ή περισσότερους από τους κλάδους Δημιουργικών Τεχνών). Μαθήματα στα οποία ο μαθητής συμμετέχει στις τέχνες, όπως σχέδιο, ζωγραφική, τραγούδι, ενόργανη παράσταση, δημιουργική γραφή, χορός και προφορική ερμηνεία.
II. Ιστορία ή Θεωρία (σύνολο 12 ενότητες). Μαθήματα στα οποία ο φοιτητής μελετά την ιστορία ή/και τη θεωρία θεμάτων που σχετίζονται με τις Δημιουργικές Τέχνες. Ο μαθητής πρέπει να ολοκληρώσει τρεις ενότητες στους ακόλουθους κλάδους: Τέχνη, Αγγλικά, Χορός και Μουσική. Τα ακόλουθα μαθήματα συνιστώνται σε αυτόν τον τομέα (σχετικά μαθήματα που δεν περιλαμβάνονται σε αυτήν τη λίστα μπορούν επίσης να εγκριθούν ανά μάθημα):

Scholarships at Mission

NEW Progress Pride Scholarship!
For the first time, the Mensa Foundation seeks to award our Progress Pride Scholarship: up to two $10,000 scholarships. The scholarship is intended for college-bound, college, or graduate students at U.S. universities who identify as both BIPOC and LGBTQ—and who have demonstrated positive service to the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities.
POINT Foundation Scholarship
The Community College Scholarship Program launched in 2016 and went national in 2017. To be selected for the scholarship, students are evaluated on academic performance and potential, financial need, involvement in school and community, and goals for the future. Deadline to Apply May 3rd.
