Study aims

Η μελέτη στοχεύει στην προετοιμασία εμπειρογνωμόνων για θέσεις ειδικών και διευθυντών μεσαίων και ανώτατων διοικητικών επιπέδων όχι μόνο σε εταιρείες που ασχολούνται με την αναζήτηση και εξερεύνηση κοιτασμάτων, εξόρυξη, επεξεργασία και εμπορία ορυκτών πρώτων υλών αλλά και στη δημόσια διοίκηση. Για την επίτευξη του στόχου της μελέτης, το Οικονομικό των Πρώτων Υλών είναι ένα συνδυασμένο πρόγραμμα σπουδών. Το πρόγραμμα σπουδών χωρίζεται σε δύο τομείς, και συγκεκριμένα στην περιοχή 29 - Εξόρυξη και επεξεργασία ορυκτών πόρων (80%) και 33 - Επιστήμες της Γης (20%).

Ο απόφοιτος μπορεί να εντοπίσει ένα πρόβλημα και να επιλέξει τη διαδικασία για την επίλυσή του. Μπορεί να παρουσιάσει και να υπερασπιστεί τις απόψεις του και τις επιλεγμένες διαδικασίες λύσης. Ο απόφοιτος είναι ικανός για διοικητική εργασία. Μπορεί να μελετήσει ξενόγλωσσα επαγγελματικά κείμενα, ιδιαίτερα στα αγγλικά, και μπορεί να επικοινωνήσει στα αγγλικά. Ο απόφοιτος είναι έτοιμος για περαιτέρω εκπαίδευση στον τομέα.

Οι απόφοιτοι μπορούν να βρουν την επαγγελματική τους εφαρμογή κυρίως στις διοικητικές λειτουργίες επιχειρήσεων που ανήκουν στο συγκρότημα ορυκτών-πρώτων υλών. Οι απόφοιτοι μπορούν επίσης να βρουν απασχόληση σε κρατικούς και οικονομικούς φορείς διοίκησης από τοπικούς έως κεντρικούς φορείς, ερευνητικούς οργανισμούς και το εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα. Συγκεκριμένα, εμπλέκονται οι εξής τύποι θέσεων: βιομηχανικός μηχανικός, επικεφαλής εργασιών εξόρυξης και επεξεργασίας, τεχνικός προετοιμασίας παραγωγής εξόρυξης επιφάνειας, τεχνικός υλοποίησης επενδύσεων εξόρυξης επιφάνειας, διευθυντής μικρού οργανισμού, project manager, σύμβουλος διαδικασιών, σχεδιαστής επιχειρησιακών διαδικασιών, επικεφαλής ομάδας , διαχειριστής, διαχειριστής περιουσιακών στοιχείων, ειδικός προϊόντων.
